「Experience of Japanese Culture」
For experience of Japanese culture, they learned how to make Sushi and Takoyaki from Dr. Shirosaki and Ms. Hamano. They also cooked their malaysian food. Some professors and Japanese students joined to the Farewell party and enjoyed their food and talk.

「The 2nd Seminar for Young Researchers」
We organized the 2nd Seminar for Young Researchers@Kitakyushu (Kyushu Institute of Technology, Wakamatsu campus). Invited speakers, Dr. Miki Inada (Kyushu Univ.), Dr. Tomoyo Goto (Osaka Univ.), Dr. Jin Gong (Yamagata Univ.), Dr. Atsuko Sato (Ochanomizu Univ), Dr. Kaori Shigetomi (Hokkaido Univ.), and Dr. Miho Nakamura (Tokyo Medical and Dental Univ.) talked about their research topic, career and life-balance, etc.

「Visit laboratories & Workshop with Japanese students」
UPM students visited some laboratories at Wakamtsu campus and attended Workshop with Kyutech Students organized by Dr. Ohta.

UPM and our laboratory students visited Shabondama Soap company and Kitakyushu Ecotown with JASSO students. They learned what is Shabondama Soap and about recycle of cans and cars.

Kyutech Professors (Prof. Takenaka from Tobata campus, Prof. Sakamoto from Iizuka campus, Dr. Pandey from wakamatsu campus) gave the lecture for UPM students. Students studied by themselves about lecture before them.

Undergraduate students (3 boys, 11 girls) from Faculty of Science, University of Putra, Malaysia with Dr, Ramil and Dr. Che Abdullah visited our university as mobility program. Today they had orientation about the Japanese public culture and rules, etc. from Dr. Ohta.

Dr. Shirosaki visited University of Porto (FEUP : Prof. Maria A. Lopes，Prof. José D. Santos, FMDUP : Prof. Maria H. Fernandes，Pedro Gomes）and i3S (Dr. Marta Laranjeira) to discuss about collaboration and visited i3S with Prof. Oie (Executive Director; Vice President for University Reform, Education and Information), Prof. Sakamoto (School of Computer Science and Systems Engineering), Ms. Nishino（Academic Affairs Section）to discuss about future collaboration between university with Dr. Ana Pêgo (i3S) and Prof. Fernando H. Monteiro (i3S and FEUP) and introduced about Kyutech for Master course students at FEUP.
